Our PFC Parallel Flange Channel is a popular profile among the architectural sector, construction sector as well as the structural steel industry and we supply this size of channel in Grade S355
Parallel Flange Channels are perfect for constructional use due to their increased strength and durability. Typical uses of these sections include; support columns or as support for floor joists and are a highly desirable load bearing profile. These channels are often used in conjunction with our Universal Beams, Universal Columns (RSJ) and all forms of structural steel.
A good use for PFC when replacing a wall, is to back to back the channels which enables you to part remove a wall before back to backing the channels and securing with bolts. We can also supply the plate which you can use to create a jointing plate that acts as a lintel to support brickwork. Any questions you have our experienced team are here to help.
Standard lengths in this material are 6.1/6.4 or 12.2 metres but we can cut to size as required by your project.
Also known as; Parallel Flange Channels (PFC), Mild Steel Channel, Structural Steel C Section or Channel.
